A new cider has arrived, called Somersby.

The launch was at Carcosa Seri Negara, a fat-cat hotel in Federal Hill, KL. I love this place.

A special guest was the so-called Lord Somersby, a fat Irish guy (however the cider is from Sweden).

Garden party. I like

Anyway, the taste – my first thoughts – Zappel, the fizzy apple soda. Similar consistency, as in the carbonation, and similar sweetness. Hence, it’s served with ice. I’d recommend lotsa ice.

I had six. For a 4.5% abv, it seems a lot lighter, with not much impact.

Suitable for those who like sweet, gassy drinks.

The variety of cider that will be available will be apple, for now. The RRP is TBC.

U’d be able to find it at some supermarkets and bars soon, available in 330ml bottles.
